No good having them if you can't use them, right?
As part of the move to Jcink, a number of custom BBCodes have been introduced to make posting that little bit easier for you, and assist in styling posts and templates the way you want to make them! Naturally, they're no good if you don't know how to use them, but allow me to run you through the basics of each one so you too can use them with ease!

Please note that if you are not using the Full Edit feature when you edit your post, all of these codes (except type and status) will return words rather than images. Just refresh your page and they will all show up as you want!

Additionally, please make sure you check the URL for the website - it if has https:// at the start, it will block all javascript content, therefore all of these codes (again, excepted type and status) will not work! If, like the above paragraph, you see text rather than images, this may be your issue!

Finally, if the move or Pokémon in question has an apostrophe in its name (e.g. Farfetch'd, Forest's Curse), remove this when you insert the bbcode and it will show up as normal.

If you have any other questions or spot any errors with the information provided in the tooltips, please PM KYLEO!

Pokémon

CODE
[pokemon=species]form[/pokemon]

This code replaces the text above with an image of the Pokémon sprite or model. The default for this code is to bring back the standard model.

CODE
[pokemon=bulbasaur] [/pokemon]
bulbasaur,
CODE
[pokemon=bulbasaur]sprite[/pokemon]
bulbasaur,sprite
CODE
[pokemon=bulbasaur]model[/pokemon]
bulbasaur,model

For this particular code, the 'form' area accounts for three separate parts - special forms, shiny/non-shiny and model/sprite.

If the Pokémon model/sprite you are using is not a special form, and/or is not shiny, there is no need to include a 'standard' word for this, as per the example below:

CODE
[pokemon=venusaur]female shiny sprite[/pokemon]
venusaur,female shiny sprite
CODE
[pokemon=venusaur]female model[/pokemon]
venusaur,female model
CODE
[pokemon=venusaur]shiny model[/pokemon]
venusaur,shiny model
CODE
[pokemon=venusaur]model[/pokemon]
venusaur,model

Any words that do not match the 'form' areas specified will default to the standard model.

CODE
[pokemon=venusaur]hapy sprite[/pokemon]
venusaur,hapy sprite

Please note that both Unown and Vivillon do not have shiny forms due to the significant number of forms for each Pokémon.

Special form includes many things ranging from female forms, megas, specific forms (such as Deerling's seasonal variants) and the new Alolan forms from Sun and Moon.

The Pokémon with special forms are as below:

Megas
For all mega forms, unless specified in the spoiler below, the special form word is 'mega'.

All Mega Pokémon

Females
As would seem obvious, a female form of a Pokémon has a special form word of 'female'. Please note that in the case of Nidoran, the female species is listed within this special form rather than as a separate species. Given only front models and sprites are used, any female forms with differences located on their back only are not included (e.g. Buizel).

All Female Forms

Alola
For all Alolan forms, unless specified in the spoiler below, the special form word is 'alola'.

All Alolan Pokémon

Other Specials
Each of these forms have their own individual special form words.

Pokémon Icons

CODE
[pokemonicon=species]form[/pokemonicon]

This code replaces the text above with an image of the Pokémon icon.

CODE
[pokemonicon=bulbasaur] [/pokemonicon]
bulbasaur,
CODE
[pokemonicon=charizard]megax[/pokemonicon]
charizard,megax

Any words that do not match the 'form' areas specified will default to the standard icon.

CODE
[pokemonicon=charizard]main[/pokemonicon]
charizard,main

Every mega and alola form listed in the Pokémon sprite/model bbcode, and most of the 'special' form words, apply to this bbcode as well.

Items

CODE
[item=itemname]tooltip[/item]

This code replaces the text above with an image of the item sprite. Additionally, the second parameter creates a tooltip with the item name and info when you click on the item sprite, as long as the second parameter equals 'true'.

CODE
[item=itemname] [/item]
poke ball,
CODE
[item=itemname]true[/item]
poke ball,true
