What goals shall we work towards?
There are different classes of character here on Numora; we're not gonna make you Be The Very Best if you don't wanna. Here are the types of classes you can be.
BREEDER Breeders simply breed their Pokemon and sell their eggs to the masses, collecting the money they receive in order to (usually) buy more Pokemon to breed.
Class Bonus: There is a higher chance of getting a rare Ability/Gender/Egg Move when Breeding Pokemon. Breeders can also keep and sell spare eggs from Breedings.
CIVILIAN Someone who doesn't fit any of the above. These are people who just live in the region, going about their lives. Musicians, artists, non-Guild thieves, businessmen, whatever you wanna be, man.
Class Bonus: Every Pokemon that a Civilian catches, hatches, or otherwise obtains receive an extra +5 Hearts..
COORDINATOR Another classic choice. You get aesthetically pleasing Pokémon with aesthetically pleasing moves, take them to the Contest Hall, and use them in an aesthetically pleasing way so that the judges will give you a high score. Simple, but popular.
Class Bonus: Coordinators cannot receive the minimum score from the Judges. Coordinators also have a 20% chance of finding items needed for Pokémon to evolve on the Pokémon and a 20% chance for the Pokémon to hold an item that corresponds to the Pokémon's primary type. These items can only be taken by catching the Pokémon or using an Item Stealing move like Thief.
ELITE FOUR Elite Four members are the best of the best in Numora when it comes to battling Pokemon. They are considered almost like celebrities in the region, and it is a dream for most Trainers to join their ranks one day.
Class Bonus: Elite Four members receive $50 per battle post when battling against someone challenging the League. If the Elite Four member wins, they receive the money the Trainer would have gotten for winning.
GUILD MEMBER An organization known only as "The Guild" is the primary producer of crime in Numora. Headquartered in Parrsboro, this is where you go if your character wants to watch the world burn. Characters are not allowed to join the guild until they are at least 18-20! If you're considering making a guild character, read this thread.
Class Bonus: Guild Members are able to pick jobs from the Guild bulletin board, and are paid for completing their task.
GYM LEADER Elite members who own Gyms and provide difficult obstacles for Trainers to overcome. There are eight Gym Leaders, each specializing in a single type across the region, and will give you a Badge if you defeat them in battle.
Class Bonus:Gym Leaders receive $50 per battle post when battling against someone challenging the Gym. If the Gym Leader wins, they receive the money the Trainer would have gotten for winning.
GYM SUBSTITUTE If a Gym Leader is busy or otherwise unable to take a battle, Gym Subs take over the role while their boss is away. They use the same team as the Gym Leader and are just as feared as their higher-ups.
Class Bonus:Gym Substitute receive $50 per battle post when battling against someone challenging the Gym. If the Substitute wins, they receive the money the Trainer would have gotten for winning.
POLICE OFFICER There are two branches of the Police; Rangers that deal with natural disasters and rampaging Pokémon and law enforcement, who work to bring down The Guild and keep the peace in the region. They're valuable to the region, and are headquartered in Collingwood. Characters are not allowed to join the police until they are at least 18-20! If you're considering making a police character, read this thread.
Class Bonus: Police receive jobs from Police Chief Faust, earning money for doing specific jobs. Police are also allowed to invade threads where crime is taking place.RESEARCHERScience is important. Since Numora's a pretty large region with a lot of stuff to study, there's gonna need to be more than one or two lab assistants to help out. The job of a researcher is to record the habits of Pokémon by temporarily catching them, catching starters for trainers to get, and various other things.
Class Bonus: Researchers have the chance to find Starters in Wild Threads. They can also take on assignments from Professor Kingston to earn money.
TRAINER The classic choice. You get your starter kit from Willow Laboratories in Widewater and head off to defeat all eight gyms. The first gym is in Widewater, the second is in Parrsboro, and then you can challenge whatever gyms you want. Most main goals of trainers is to become the Champion of the region, or the most powerful Pokémon trainer. For others, they simply want to be strong. Only a trainer can hold the position of Champion!
Class Bonus: Trainers are given a ticket where they can spend 1000G in the move tutor shop if they beat a Gym Leader.
